The Haven Suites offer accessible short break accommodation for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs. Bookings are arranged through a simple enquiry process.

Every visit to the Haven Play Centre is different, and we know that every child and family will have their own needs. Our online booking system makes it easy to plan your play session in advance, whether you are visiting for sensory play, outdoor fun, social time or a quieter space to enjoy together.

Spaces and room hire
Depending on availability, you may be able to book the full Haven Play Centre or selected rooms within the Centre.

Each space has its own capacity, suitability and hire rate. Please check the booking system for current options before confirming your session.
Pricing and availability
Current booking options include hourly hire for the full Play Centre and selected smaller spaces.
Our limited time summer booking options include:
- Full Play Centre hire from £60 per hour
- Smaller room hire from £15 per hour
- Full Play Centre (excluding Soft Play Room) hire from £35 per hour
Availability varies across weekdays, evenings and selected weekends. Please use the booking system below to view current sessions, prices and available spaces.
Before You Book
The Haven Play Centre is available by pre-booking only. This helps keep the space calm, safe and manageable for everyone using it.
A member of the Haven team will be on-call during your booking, but Play Centre sessions are not facilitated or supervised by Haven staff.
Families, groups and organisations hiring the space are responsible for:
- Arranging appropriate supervision
- Ensuring suitable staffing ratios
- Completing any required risk assessments
- Supporting the children and young people in their care
- Following the booking terms and conditions

Enquire About the Haven Suites

The Suites are not part of the online booking system. Every stay is different, so enquiries are managed separately to make sure the team can understand your family’s needs, check availability and talk through the most suitable option.

Who can book the Haven Play Centre?
The Haven Play Centre can be booked by families, parent-led groups, disability charities, support organisations, carer networks, health and therapy professionals, and others looking for an accessible space for suitable activities. If you’re unsure whether the Play Centre is right for your needs, please contact the Haven Centre team before booking.
What spaces can I book within the Haven Play Centre?
Depending on availability, you may be able to book the full Play Centre or individual spaces, including the sensory room, Treetop room and breakout room. Each space has its own capacity, suitability and hire rate, so please check the booking system for the latest options.
Are Play Centre sessions supervised by Haven staff?
No. A member of the Haven team will be on call during your booking, but sessions are not facilitated or supervised by Haven staff. The person or organisation making the booking is responsible for appropriate supervision, staffing ratios, risk assessments and supporting the children and young people attending.
How do I book a stay at the Haven Suites?
The Haven Suites are not available through the online booking system. Instead, you’ll need to complete the enquiry form, and a member of the Haven team will contact you to discuss your family’s needs, availability and the most suitable accommodation options.
Who are the Haven Suites designed for?
The Haven Suites provide accessible short break accommodation for children and young people with disabilities, additional support needs and complex needs, along with their families. Each enquiry is considered individually to help ensure the accommodation is suitable for your needs.
Can I book just the sensory room?
Yes. If you would like to do this, please contact us directly.
Are you running any drop-in sessions?
Yes. Our Friday evenings are being run as drop-in sessions. If you would like to meet new families, this is the session for you!
Will I be the only one if I book an individual session?
Yes. The only sessions where this is not the case will be our Friday evening drop-in sessions.
