Fundraising for the Haven Centre
Fundraising is another meaningful way to support the Haven Centre, and it doesn’t have to be complicated or formal.
In fact, people fundraise for us in all sorts of ways!
Many take on personal challenges, others bring people together socially, and some even turn everyday moments into opportunities to give back.
But what matters most isn’t the scale of these actions, but the care behind it.
Ways people fundraise
Fundraising for the Haven Centre can be as simple or as ambitious as you’d like it to be. You might fundraise on your own, with friends or family, through your workplace, or as part of a group. Just know that however you choose to do it, we’ll support you along the way.
Some of the ways people have raised funds for us in the past include:
- Coffee mornings and bake sales
- Sponsored walks, runs, swims or personal challenges
- Workplace fundraising and team events
- Music nights or small community gatherings
- Marking special anniversaries or celebrations in a meaningful way
The truth is, there’s no set formula. If you’ve got an idea – even just a small one – we’d love to help you bring it to life.

Helping families access rest and recuperation through short breaks with the Haven Suites compassion fund
Inclusive spaces
Sustaining inclusive, welcoming spaces where children and young people with multiple and complex needs, their families, and the wider community can feel safe, cared for and supported
Haven Community Garden
Supporting the development and growth of the community garden as a shared, outdoor space
Money raised through fundraising goes towards supporting the work of the Haven Centre and the wider work of the Elsie Normington Foundation, helping us care for both the spaces we’ve built and the people who use them.

Providing fundraising packs and materials, including posters, banners or small items to support events
