Elsie Normington Foundation plans to build a specialist play centre, respite wing, community coffee shop and some supported housing for children and young adults with learning disabilities in Inverness.
We need your help to raise £4 million for this project. You can donate by visiting www.gofundme.com/the-haven-appeal
Young people need relevant facilities and services while parents need to be supported appropriately in their caring role. There are 1679 children with additional needs in school and 722 children who are registered disabled in Highland.
Say a big hello to Martin Baldwin, our new Project Coordinator!
Martin has been settling into his new role since the beginning of February and he has been working hard ever since!
He moved from Oxford to Inverness in order to join our Haven Appeal Team. Martin has lots of expertise which will help us as we move forward. He has previously worked in the charity sector, owned his own business and assisted individuals with learning disabilities.
Anyone who donates a minimum of £20 will have their name printed on the wall of the Haven Centre once it is built. All of the money that you donate today will contribute to the £4 million target that we need to reach before building can commence.
Follow the steps below to make your permanent mark on the Haven Centre:
1) Visit www.gofundme.com/the-haven-appeal and donate a minimum of £20.
2) Email email@example.com to confirm that you would like your name to appear on the 'Wall of Smiles'.
Rona Matheson - our Community Fundraiser - recently visited Inverness Royal Academy for their YPI Charity Fair. She met lots of enthusiastic pupils who had to decide which charity to nominate for a £3,000 grant. We're delighted to announce that they decided to nominate the Haven Appeal! Thank you to all of you at Inverness Royal Academy!
